This fluffy Jello Salad is a fun and fruity sidedishthat could actually pass for adessert! A rich creamy base, lots of berries and of course Jello make this salad a welcome addition to any meal.
We love that it needs just minutes of prep and is as pretty as it is delicious!
How to MakeJell-oSalad
Although some Jell-o salads are made in a jello mold, this one is more like a fluff (similar to ambrosia salad). It’s rich, creamy, and dreamy.
- Rinse the berries and dry well. Slice strawberries if needed.
- Combinecottage cheeseand jello powder in a large mixingbowl.
- Stirin remainingingredientsand refrigerate.

JELLO: We usestrawberryjello butraspberry jello(or really any fruity flavoredgelatin) will work. Choose something red or pink for thisrecipe.
COTTAGE CHEESE:We lovecottage cheesein this salad (and even those who don’t care forcottage cheeselove it). You can substitute cream cheeseorcool whip.
FRUIT:Fresh berries are perfect in thisrecipe, use one kind or many kinds of berries if you can. Sometimes we do just slicedstrawberriesfor astrawberryjello salad.
Variations
- Flavors:Try otherflavorsof jello and fruits likeorange,pineappleorcherry.
- Additions:Add in your favorites frompecansto slicedbananas.
- Looking to lighten thisrecipeup a little bit? You can use sugar-free in thisrecipeand choose low fatwhipped toppingandcottage cheese.
Jello Salad RecipeTips:
- Any type of fresh berries can be used in thisrecipe. You will need a total of ~4 cups of fresh mixed berries.
- When combining thecottage cheesewith the jello powder, mix with a hand mixer to make the consistency of thecottage cheesea little bit smoother. Mix with a spoon if you prefer more texture.
- Refrigerate before serving to allow theflavorsto blend and thicken the fluff.
- I have tested this with freshly whipped cream and while it is delicious, it doesn’t set up as well.
- You can freeze jello salad and serve it frozen in squares (like we do with ourCherry Fluff Salad)
This fluffy jellofruit saladcan be served as aside dishor as adessert. I love to spoon it on angel food cake as a topping too!

Berry Fluff Jello Salad
This fluffy refreshing berry salad takes just minutes to prep and will be the first bowl empty at every potluck!

Ingredients
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 1 package Jell-O (4 servings size) strawberry, raspberry, or cherry
- 8 ounces whipped topping
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 2 cups strawberries washed & cut
- ¾ cup blackberries washed
- ¾ cup raspberries washed
- ¾ cup blueberries washed
Instructions
Combine cottage cheese and dry Jell-O powder in a bowl.
Fold in whipped topping.
Gently fold in all remaining ingredients. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
