Apple today told developers that it is expanding the Vision Pro App Store to new markets ahead of when the device is set to launch in additional countries. Since its February launch, the Vision Pro has been limited to buyers in the United States, but at WWDC, Apple announced plans to bring it to eight new markets.
The Apple Vision Pro will launch in China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore on Friday, June 28, and it will expand to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom on July 12. Pre-orders for the Vision Pro for the first wave launch countries started on June 13, while pre-orders for the second wave launch countries will begin on June 28.
Apple says that developers can expect their apps and games to be automatically available on the App Store in regions selected through App Store Connect. visionOS app availability and the availability of iPad and iPhone apps on the headset can be managed through the App Store Connect interface.
The Vision Pro is priced at $3,499 in the United States, and has similar pricing in local currency in the countries where it is set to launch.

Those countries all tend to have lower average income levels than the US, and Apple is likely to charge a bit more for the Vision Pro in some of them.
With that in mind and given that they are already finding hard to sell it in large enough numbers in the US, I wouldn’t expect particularly successful launches.

For clarity, the previous news was saying they are pausing the development of Vision Pro 2 to focus on a cheaper version.
So it didn’t matter imply that Apple is giving up on visionOS and the ecosystem - more that they are focusing on cheaper and less feature rich hardware.

They are also charging 6.5% p. a. interest in Germany on monthly payments.
Every other Apple product has 0% interest. Good luck with that

A surplus of unsold devices has meant we are able to aggressively expand the product launch across the globe.

They suspended the Vision Pro 2, not the cheaper version or the current Vision Pro.

“The Vision Pro is priced at $3,499 in the United States, and has similar pricing in local currency in the countries where it is set to launch.”
I wish I could share your optimism, but in France it starts at 3,999€, which is 4,292$ at the current exchange rates. So apart from a few die-hard geeks or influencers, I do not expect them to fly off the shelves here.

Read that article again, it said Apple was stopping the development on the AVP2, that meant they are just working on a cheaper model that will have less features than the current AVP, as well its been very well know the current AVP was going to go on sale to other countries this year and Apple announced a bunch of countries that were getting them in July.
It never mentioned they were stopping the production in general.

I read it and I think it is hogwash! There is no real evidence to back up the articles claims.

$4450 is the converted price in the UK. That's...optimistic.

In other news, EU regulators (who have been waiting for this moment) have moved to mark Apple Vision Pro as a gatekeeper as Apple’s App Store is the only place where Apple Vision Pro developers can make their software for Apple Vision Pro available for Apple Vision Pro users to download.
