Quests are one of the most exciting parts of 7 Days to Die! As soon as you spawn into the game world on your 7 Days to Die Server, you'll receive quests to guide you through surviving and thriving.
Basic Survival and Citizen Quests
These quests teach you essential skills like gathering wood and stone to build a shelter, finding food and water, and crafting basic tools and weapons. Complete them and you'll be set up with the fundamentals to take on the undead horde!
Tutorial Quests
Want to dive right into crafting or farming? Follow the tutorial quests to learn the ropes. They'll walk you through creating workbenches, forges and chemistry stations to make anything from concrete blocks to first aid kits. You'll also learn how to start your own garden and farm crops.

Steps to Share Active Quests in 7 Days to Die
Enable Quest Sharing
- Press TAB to open your quest menu.
- At the top right of the window, find the quest icon (marked with an icon of three people - these are shareable quests).
- Click on one to select it, then click the "share with allies" icon.
- This will send the quest details to all players currently allied with you.
Complete the Quest as a Team
Now that you've shared the quest, you and your friends can team up to get the job done.
- Work together by communicating to determine the best plan of action.
- You might split up to cover more ground, or stick together for safety.
- Cover each other's backs in combat and share resources as needed to achieve your goals.
Completing quests together is a fun social experience in 7 Days to Die. You'll bond over battling zombies, looting buildings, and reaping the rewards of your accomplishments as a team. Tips for Completing Shared Quests Smoothly

Communicate Frequently
Talk to each other! Let your teammates know if you’ve started a quest, found an objective, or completed a task. Call out loot locations, zombie spawns, or other points of interest you encounter. The more you communicate, the more efficient your group will be.
Split Up and Conquer
Don’t stay huddled together the whole time. Spread out to cover more ground, then regroup to take on harder objectives or dungeons. Have some players loot buildings while others stand guard. Send a scout ahead to check the area and report back to the team. Divide and conquer!
